Dear best friends,
First off, I just want to say I’m sorry for how vague most of this will be. I wanted to put a few more personal touches in here but there are 5 girls who I thought deserved this letter and I didn’t want to put specific names in here without permission. Anyways, I hope you all know how much you mean to me, but just in case. Here’s a letter to remind you. 🙂 So without further ado:
I want to dedicate this post to you because you are absolutely amazing and you deserve to be recognized for that. I want you to know that you are absolutely gorgeous. Like, out of anyone that I could’ve been friends with, I literally found the prettiest girls there are. Both inside and out. How did I get so lucky?
You are there for me whenever I need someone to talk to. You have dropped everything you are doing just to help me when I’ve needed it most. I don’t know if I can ever thank you enough for those times. You put me in my place when I’m getting too big of a head, you laugh when I make stupid jokes, and you calm me down when I’m freaking out over life. You have shown me what it looks like to be a Christian in today’s world. You have taught me to take action instead of wasting my life away, waiting for someone else to make the change I want to make. You’ve taught me that even though we may not attend the same school, or live in the same state 9 months out of the year, that we can still keep our friendship strong. The list goes on and on.
I love that you are willing to go on random lunch dates or coffee dates at the last second. I love that we could just go grocery shopping together if nothing else worked out in our schedules. But most of all, I love that no matter what we do, you are 100% there. We both know the time we spend together is few and far between, and I’m happy that we can put the rest of life to the side when we do see each other.
One of my absolute favorite things to do though, is worship together. Every time we get the chance to sing together, volunteer together, or plan girls retreats together, I could not be happier. The fact that we can do something that we are all so passionate about together… There are no words to describe that. No matter what though, whenever we get to worship together, I get a huge smile on my face and just have to sit there and remind myself that God made us friends for a reason. He knew we would need each other, and I’m so happy he was watching out for me when I didn’t realize I needed to be watching out for myself.
Finally, thank you for just being you. And thank you for letting me be my extra crazy self whenever I’m around you. You all inspire me everyday. You inspire me to work harder, to be a more confident person, to be bolder about my faith, and to love more than anything else. You girls aren’t just my friends, you are my sisters. And I know, that makes for quite a large family, but I think we manage to make it work quite well.
I love you! Have an extra fabulous weekend!
Until next time,
